New York here I come?

So I got into everything except Penn, everything being Penn, NYu, USc and Temple (Yea, I probably should have applied more places, oh well). Not really feeling the whole West Coast thing just yet so I'm pretty sure I'm going to NYU. Going in as an english major but still not sure what I want to do, will probably change majors later. Time to start figuring out loans, lol.

Acceptances!

So, so far I have gotten into Temple and...USC(California not Carolina)! One of my big three down, now still have to wait on NYU and UPenn, I'm going to take getting into USC as a good omen and hopefully I will get into Penn. Penn is my current first choice since I've decided I kind of want to stick around a bit more, but I'm still happy I got into my original first choice! Haven't gotten word on financial stuff yet, if I don't get in anywhere else it actually might be a toughish decision with easier financial stuff and my new found social stability versus better opportunities and classes and starting completely from scratch. I think I should be happier about this, but I seem to have gotten more attached to Philly this year. I mean if it were last year I'd prbly be looking up tickets to LA right now but now I'm no longer sure. I think that I'm going to have  to end up on the West coast eventually but dont think im ready to just uproot myself right now like I thought I would be.

Oh Snap!

So, they went ahead and killed Saddam yesterday because it was the last day of the Haj. Wonder if he was well hung. Apparently they video taped it, but aren't gpnna show the actual hanging, they showed the set-up, pretty creepy. You know Bush probably has the tape, and its playing on repeat, on every tv in his house. Thats a nice new year's present to give his daddy. Cost of one dead dictator?= 3000+ US Troops. Lots of hanging puns=priceless.(Political mode: Off). On a slightly brighter note, James Brown's funeral service is awesome, its been on CNN all morning, basically a huge tribute concert with his open casket up front. He's had a costume change from the viewing at the Appolo theater too, kind of a weird job for a mortician I would think, changing the body's outfit. But making a public spectacle out of your funeral and having your family member sing and dance at it is amazing. I wouldn't mind something like that for mine.

goodbye, funkyman.
